No More Limits: Menstrual Hygiene Day 2018
Good Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) is essential for health, education, the environment, the economy and human rights. Yet the challenges of menstruation are often shrouded in silence and shame, surrounded by cultural myths and taboos. This year on Menstrual Hygiene Day the Fund joins the movement to help break the silence and build awareness about the fundamental role that good MHM plays in enabling women and girls to reach their full potential.

World Water Day: the answer is in nature
Happy World Water Day! When we neglect our ecosystems, we make it harder to provide everyone with the water they need to survive and thrive. Through the Australian Aid funded Civil Society WASH Fund, many partner civil society organisations are looking beyond achieving basic universal access to tackling the management of waste to protect the environment and secure safe drinking water supplies.

Civil Society WASH Fund features at WASH Futures 2018 Conference
The Civil Society WASH Fund is a major contributor to the content being presented at the WASH Futures Conference 2018. Over one quarter of the conference program content comes from Fund projects and associated research with more than 26 presentations from Fund CSOs and partners in the two day conference.

World Toilet Day: Wastewater and Sustainable Development Goal 6
World Toilet Day this year continues with the theme from World Water Day earlier this year, focusing on wastewater. At its conclusion the CS WASH Fund is projected to have supported more than 2.4 million people to access improved sanitation facilities.

Global Handwashing Day: 'Our hands, our future'
This Global Handwashing Day we are celebrating how handwashing with soap protects our health and that of our communities. We recognise the achievements of CSOs within the Fund for their work and innovations in handwashing behaviour change. At its conclusion it is projected that the Fund will have supported more than 2 million people access handwashing facilities; half a million more people than originally planned.

Summing up the Fund Learning and Reflection Event
The Fund Learning and Reflection Event was a chance to acknowledge the successes of CSO work including reaching 3.6 million people with improved sanitation. There are significant areas of knowledge and learning that have been progressed during the Fund, including in smart-subsidies for sanitation, innovating to engage the private sector and understanding women's roles in WASH.
